Piedmont P.G.I. hazelnut paste | Scoiattolo Rosso
Scoiattolo Rosso P.G.I. Piedmont hazelnut paste is produced with 100% roasted hazelnuts. To make it on our Piedmontese farm, we use a hazelnut grinding machine. Then we pass to filtration with a particle size of a few microns, about 16. In this way the hazelnut releases the oil contained inside, creating a homogeneous and smooth hazelnut paste on the palate.
Without sugar, thickeners or colourings, it is ideal for sweet and savory preparations, such as, for example, to flavor main courses of meat.
Hazelnut paste for pastry
Excellent for many different culinary preparations, it lends itself well to home pastry preparations, but also as an ingredient for professional pastry. In fact, it is ideal for desserts such as: the traditional Piedmontese ” bonet“, grandmother’s cakes, creams and ice creams based on Piedmont P.G.I. hazelnuts.
